The questions everyone asks

Are paper coffee pods compatible with my capsule machine?
No. Paper pods and plastic or aluminium capsules are different systems entirely. Aroma machines are designed for standard 44mm ESE paper pods — compostable, plastic-free, and a genuinely better way to make espresso.

Where can I buy paper coffee pods in Australia?
Bottega stocks a full range of paper pods with Australia-wide shipping. Because ESE is an open standard, you're also free to use pods from any compatible roaster. We're confident enough in our coffee that we don't need to lock you in.

Are ESE paper pods compostable?
Yes. Pod and outer packaging. They go back to the earth — not the bin.

How does the paper pod system compare to capsules for flavour?
Real ground coffee in filter paper, pre-tamped and sealed fresh. No plastic. No aluminium. Just coffee, the way Italians have been making it for decades. Consistent, clean, and nothing to hide.
